About our Lead Pastor

Dr. Kevyn D. Jones

Pastor Kevyn Jones has been pastor of Valley Park Church since 1992. He has a B.A. in Biblical Studies (Azusa Pacific University), M.A. in Religion (Azusa Pacific University), M.A. in Near Eastern Languages and Cultures (UCLA), Candidate in Philosophy in Near Eastern Languages and Cultures (UCLA), and a Doctorate in Ministry from Talbot School of Theology. He has a passion for knowing and teaching God’s Word.

Pastor Kevyn is a father of four adult children, grandfather of three young ones, an active golfer with his nine-year-old grandson, and an experienced carpenter who has brought creativity and improvements to our property for close to 30 years. He has maintained a vision for creating a hospitable environment making our church “a home” and “a family’ for many followers of Jesus. His giftedness is teaching people about Jesus, making a good latte, and walking along side those seeking to grow in their relationships with Jesus. He loves being a mentor to many.

Pastor Kevyn, fondly known as PK, embodies an accessible leadership style, readily embraced as a friend to the church family. His open-door policy encourages reaching out at any time, whether for guidance on your spiritual journey with Christ or to share your personal testimony.
