What We Believe at Valley Park

Belief in God's Word and Jesus Christ

At Valley Park, we hold the belief that the Bible is God's Word, essential for comprehending His nature and our responsibilities as humans. The Scriptures guide us, shaping our understanding of God's character. In John 1:1, it's written: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." Additionally, our conviction rests in Jesus Christ as God incarnate, deserving our love, obedience, and worship. Philippians 2:5-11 emphasizes Christ's humility and exaltation: "At the name of Jesus, every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth."

Redemption and Faith in Jesus Christ

We firmly believe in the redemptive sacrifice of Jesus for our sins, granting us forgiveness and the promise of eternal life. Romans 6:23 states: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." His resurrection serves as proof of His authority over death and sin, offering assurance of our forgiveness and eternal inheritance through faith. As mentioned in John 11:25-26, Jesus proclaimed: "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die."

Christian Service, Sharing Grace, and Second Coming

Each Christian is uniquely gifted and called to serve within the Body of Christ, as mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12:4-7: "There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them... To each one, the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good." Moreover, we are compelled by Christ's love to share His grace with those who have yet to know Him (Matthew 28:19-20). Finally, we anticipate the return of Jesus Christ, as stated in Revelation 22:20: "He who testifies to these things says, 'Yes, I am coming soon.' Amen. Come, Lord Jesus." His return will usher in the establishment of God's Kingdom, where eternal peace and His presence will reign supreme for those who have inherited eternal life.
